SCNU celebrates its 91st birthday on November 6 this year. Founded in 1933, SCNU became a key development university under “Project 211” in 1996 and was listed in China’s “Double First-Class” project in 2017. As a leading institution for talent cultivation in southern China, SCNU is always in step with the times and strives to build a comprehensive and innovative world-class university with the distinctive characteristic of teacher education.
On this special day, the faculty and students express their genuine wishes through the lens to celebrate SCNU's 91st anniversary.

The faculty and students at the Shipai campus move flowers of the Floss Silk Tree on the grassland to form the words “SCNU” and “91” to wish SCNU a happy birthday.

International students of the School of International Culture wish SCNU a happy birthday.
Yi Wang, a Belarusian student majoring in International Economics and Trade at SCNU.
Yi Wang(Chinese name)is an international student from the Republic of Belarus majoring in International Economics and Trade. He has been studying at SCNU for over 2 years. When discussing his future aspirations, he mentions that he would like to teach Russian in China or work at the Confucius Institute in the Republic of Belarus. He also said that SCNU is a university with a long history, and he hopes that SCNU can achieve more when it reaches its 100th anniversary.
Xu Yuanxiang, an Indonesian student majoring in Business Chinese at SCNU.
Xu Yuanxiang(Chinese name)is an international student from Indonesia majoring in Business Chinese. When talking about his impressions of SCNU, he says that his teachers here are very patient and it’s nice to study at SCNU. “SCNU encourages the student to be active, not only at the academic (performance) but non-academic, too. I think that is one of the best ways to train a student’s self-confidence.” he adds.
