All students at the campus' dormitories can use hot water using their student card.
Time of hot water supply: 17:30-23:00
Attention: If there is some change, please pay attention to the notification at the gate or ask the administrators.
University Town Campus
Hot water is available in every room. During the hot water supply period, insert the card into the hot water sensing area in each dormitory bathroom and turn on the tap, then the hot water comes.
Normal hot water supply period: 17:30 - 23:00.

Each floor of the dormitory is equipped with a dual-temperature water dispenser for drinking water. Students are free to choose their preferred water temperature (hot or cold) as needed.
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE SERVICE

Online Repair Request:
Log in to the service website: http://szhq.scnu.edu.cn/rsp to submit a repair request.
Students in this campus can register with the repair service on the public Wechat platform "Huashi Houqing" by scanning QR Code to follow it. Students can also go to duty office of dormitory to register. For regular small repairs, the administration of dormitories will repair or replace items fairly soon. Damage as a result of vandalism or carelessness is repaired at cost price.
University Town Campus
Minor maintenance (such as fans, lamp tubes, water meters, etc.): register at the housekeeping office for maintenance by the property management company. Air conditioning maintenance: registered in the dormitory management office, the property company report to the supplier for repair, or students apply for repair.
Large-scale maintenance (wall leakage, plumbing repair, cable repair, etc.): register at the housekeeping department, the property company reports to the maintenance department, and the maintenance is carried out by the engineering department of the school.

If the fans, water pipes, doors and windows, or lamp tubes of the dormitory are out of order, please register with the repair order of the dormitory management office on the first floor of each dormitory, and maintenance will be carried on by the worker of the property management company.

If any facility in the dormitory is damaged or not functioning, please report it by registering at the duty office located in your residential building. Upon receiving the work order, maintenance staff will promptly arrange an on-site repair. Repairs and replacements for normal wear and tear will be handled by the staff at no cost. However, damages determined to be caused by misuse or intentional action will require compensation at the market price.

CAMPUS NETWORK ACCOUNTS
I. Account Activation
Upon completion of the enrollment procedures, all undergraduate and graduate students will automatically receive their electronic campus identity (i.e., the Unified Identity Authentication Account / Campus Card Number). The campus network account will be automatically activated once the network fee payment is processed.
II. Fee Standard
The campus network operates on a prepaid billing system, offering the following service plans:
1¥30 per month
2¥150 for six months
3¥300 per year
Additionally, a special Graduation Plan is available for graduating students between May and July, priced at ¥7 per week.

Service Suspension & Reactivation:
Users on a monthly plan can temporarily suspend and later reactivate their campus network service as needed, provided that each suspension and reactivation request is spaced at least 30 days apart. Service fees are not charged during the suspension period, and the remaining service duration will be extended accordingly upon reactivation.
Please Note:
Any payment transaction made while the service is suspended will automatically trigger the reactivation of the campus network. Therefore, users are advised to avoid making payments during a suspension period.
III. Network Access
(1) Wired Access
Campus network ports are available in student dormitories. Users need to connect using their own Ethernet cable and must download and install the dedicated client software (available at the Network Self-Service System: https://inet.scnu.edu.cn/). Login via the client is required to access the internet.
Important: When using the wired connection in dormitories, the wireless network card on the computer must be disabled.
(2) Wireless Access
The campus wireless network (SCNUNET) covers public areas including teaching buildings, the library, administrative offices, academic buildings, canteens, and student dormitories.
Please note: In high-density areas such as the library and canteens, wireless signal capacity may be insufficient during peak hours, potentially affecting connectivity.
