Guidance for Medical Treatment
1. Hospital at the Shipai campus
(1) Out-patient clinic: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Service departments: G.P., T.C.M., E.N.T., otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, stomatology, ophthalmology, laboratory, radiology, B ultrasonic room, electrocardiogram room, etc.
In case of special circumstances, the opening hours of some departments will be notified in advance. (Tel: 020-85216549).
(2) EPI clinic: Monday and Tuesday 2:40 p.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday 8:10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. excluding the summer/winter vacations (Tel: 020-85211186).

2. OPD at the Higher Education Mega Center campus

Medical Treatment Process
1. Out-patient clinic:
Registration (Registration Office) → see a doctor (Consulting Room) → Pay your fee (Cashier) → Get medicines (Pharmacy) → Get Treatment (Nurse Station).

Guide to apply for free public medical treatment / Student medical insurance reimbursement
1. Time for reimbursement:
(1) Hospital at Shipai campus:8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday for retirees, 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday for staff/students.
(2) OPD at Higher Education Mega Center campus: 9 a.m. - 11a.m. on Thursday of the first and third week every month.
(3) OPD at Nanhai campus: 3 p.m .- 4:30 p.m. on the last Tuesday of every month.
2. Place for reimbursement:
(1) Hospital at Shipai campus: Get the invoice verified and signed in Room 331, and receive the reimbursement in Room 319.
(2) OPD at Higher Education Mega Center Campus: Financial management office, Block A, Administrative building.
(3) OPD at Nanhai campus: Financial management office, 2nd floor, Administrative building.
3. Required documents for reimbursement:
(1) School medical record of free public medical treatment / medical record for medical insurance.
(2) Referral certificate from school clinic and medical record of treatment from the hospital.
(3) Medical invoice and list of fees.
(4) Examination reports, if you take CT/ MR scans.
4. Special notice:
(1) Without a referral certificate or list of fees, there can be no reimbursement. (each referral and seeing a doctor requires application). The list of stomatology medical fees must be first reviewed by the department of Stomatology.
(2) Outpatient prescriptions: The dosage for emergency treatment should not exceed three days’ amount, for chronic diseases not exceeding 15 days’ amount. The amount exceeding 15 days will not be reimbursed.
(3) The use of large-scale inspection items, such as CT / MR., need to be approved by the people in charge of university hospital in advance, otherwise no reimbursement will be made.
(4) In principle, invoices for medical expenses should be reimbursed within the year in which they were made. The medical expenses incurred during the fourth quarter should be reimbursed before March 30 of the following year. No reimbursement will be made upon expiration.
(5) Specific outpatient projects, designated outpatient chronic diseases and medical expenses of students shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of the urban resident basic medical insurance in Guangzhou, and shall not be included in the comprehensive management of the school. (Students who have special outpatient services, treatment of chronic diseases in designated clinics, or pregnancy and obstetric examinations in compliance with the family planning policy, shall apply to the Medical Insurance Office of the hospital in which they get the treatment outside the university.)
5. Reimbursement of hospitalization expenses:
(1) For reimbursement of hospitalization expenses for free public medical treatment for staff, please submit the invoice, list of expenses and hospitalization record to Room 330 of the hospital at the Shipai campus for examination. The documents can be retrieved in 3 weeks, and reimbursement can be made at the Finance Department, first floor of the administration building.
(2) Students with medical insurance who are hospitalized for medical treatment do not need to be referred to the school hospital. With their valid ID cards and medical insurance cards, they can go through the hospitalization procedures at any medical institution designated by the Guangzhou Medical Insurance Bureau.
(3) During winter and summer vacations and internships, the expenses incurred by the insured students in the public medical institutions where their residence registration (or parents' workplace) or internship is located shall be reimbursed to each branch of the Guangzhou Medical Insurance Bureau within one year after the expenses have taken place with relevant materials of hospitalization.
