At the ceremonies, Yang welcomed new students and thanked stakeholders supporting the development of SCNU's postgraduate programmes in Hong Kong and Macao. He noted that, capitalising on new opportunities presented by China's 15th Five‑Year Plan and Hong Kong's first five‑year development plan, SCNU will work with partner institutions to expand postgraduate education in Hong Kong and Macao. SCNU will cultivate professionals who contribute to the long‑term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao as well as Greater Bay Area development.
Wang Zhongying, chairman of HKFSI, and Pei Chengxian, president of CAEP, reviewed progress under their long‑standing partnerships with SCNU and expressed commitment to further postgraduate‑education collaboration.
SCNU‑Macao‑Hong Kong educational cooperation dates back more than four decades, with SCNU launching its Macao‑related programmes in 1984. SCNU will continue to strengthen partnerships with local institutions and explore new pathways in postgraduate education to support talent development for the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area.
