Chen Wu, Education Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Indonesia, and Ding Shan, Second Secretary of the Embassy, visited the Shipai Campus of SCNU on September 14. Wang Chunchao, Vice President of SCNU, met with the delegation.
Wang Chunchao extended a warm welcome to Chen Wu and the delegation, noting SCNU’s longstanding ties with Indonesia’s education sector. SCNU has established long-term partnerships with institutions including Universitas Indonesia and the Asia International Friendship College, carrying out pragmatic cooperation in areas such as joint training of international students, overseas internships, area and country studies, and teacher training. Wang Chunchao expressed the hope that this meeting would further deepen educational cooperation and people-to-people exchanges with Indonesia.
Chen fully acknowledged SCNU’s achievements in educational exchanges with Indonesia, Chinese language talent cultivation, and basic education teacher training. He thanked SCNU for hosting the ongoing training program for Indonesian primary and secondary school principals and encouraged the university to leverage its strengths in teacher education, deepen partnerships with key Indonesian universities, and deliver more outcomes in areas including study in China programs, teacher training, and international Chinese language education.
The two sides then held in-depth discussions on future pragmatic cooperation. The meeting clarified SCNU’s cooperation direction with Indonesia’s education sector. SCNU will fully draw on its educational characteristics and disciplinary strengths to deepen collaboration in teacher education, artificial intelligence, and international Chinese language education, contributing to educational exchanges between the two countries.
