More than ten international students visited Xi'an, in the north of China, gaining firsthand exposure of China's historical and cultural lineage and appreciating the charm of the Silk Road civilization. This study tour included three themes: historical site visits, intangible cultural heritage experience, and folk culture exploration. At the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, the students visited the underground army of Terracotta Warriors and chariots and horses made of bronze and tried their hand at making clay figurines of terracotta warriors, learning about the craftsmanship of the Qin Dynasty. At the Xi'an Beilin Museum, the participants admired calligraphic stone inscriptions from successive dynasties and experienced the charm and evolutionary lineage of Chinese character art. At the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, the students learned about the historical development of the Silk Road during the Tang Dynasty and Sino‑foreign cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. Also, they walked along Xi'an's Ming City Wall, admiring the layout concept and architectural features of the ancient Chinese city defense system. In the Shaanxi History Museum, the students gained a systematic understanding of the thousand-year historical evolution of Chang'an through its rich collection of cultural relics. Wandering through the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City, all of the students felt the urban vitality of Xi'an amid the landscape where ancient and modern elements blend.

Going forward, the School of International Culture will actively support the university. In the context, the school will guide international students to act as ambassadors for cultural exchange between China and other countries atn their own initiative and actively promote mutual learning, exchange and integrated coexistence among diverse civilizations.
