SCNU has long placed great emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship education. Since June 2025, 2,015 projects have been submitted to the university‑level competition, involving 10,473 faculty and student participants. Fifteen main‑track and 74 special‑track projects were recommended for the provincial competition. During the preparation period, the university coordinated campus‑wide resources to establish a full‑chain training system, hosting more than 130 project polishing sessions and public rehearsals in collaboration with various schools and departments.
In the end, four main‑track projects and four special‑track projects entered the finals. All four main‑track projects won gold medals. In the special track, the project "New Notes of Oriental Beauty: A Media‑Empowered Strategy for Branding Zijin Bug-bitten Black Tea" received a gold medal. At the concluding exchange meeting, the project team signed a cooperation agreement with the Heyuan Agriculture and Rural Bureau.
SCNU has been implementing its "Outstanding Talent Plan", establishing a three‑tiered project incubation system: school‑level extracurricular research projects, university‑level "Golden Seed" research projects, and provincial "Climbing Plan" projects. This system provides strong support for the continuous incubation of "Challenge Cup" projects. Over the past three years, the university has transformed a total of 807 university‑level "Golden Seed" and provincial "Climbing Plan" projects, along with 127 Youth Vanguard Team projects under the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project", into "Challenge Cup" competition entries.
This year's competition closely followed the requirements of deepening the "High-Quality Development Project for Hundreds of Counties, Thousands of Towns, and Ten Thousand Villages", featuring five core tracks: technological innovation, rural revitalization, green and low‑carbon development, social governance, and cultural creativity. It also included a special track dedicated to Heyuan under the same project. The competition attracted over 100,000 students from 160 universities across Guangdong, who submitted 1,940 main‑track entries and 3,351 special‑track entries. Ultimately, 210 main‑track projects and 128 special‑track projects advanced to the finals.
