Students of the School of Fine Arts of South China Normal University have achieved outstanding results in the 2025 Guangdong Provincial Summer Art Creation Practice for University Students, co-organized by five provincial authorities including the Office of Spiritual Civilization Development of Guangdong province and the Department of Education of Guangdong province.
Under the theme "Empowering the 'Hundred-Ten-Thousand Project' with Artistic Youth Visions", SCNU students won 10 first prizes, 7 second prizes, and 7 third prizes.
SCNU has attached great importance to the initiative, and actively encouraged students to step out of the classroom and engage with rural communities. Drawing creative inspiration from first-hand engagement with the tangible outcomes of the “Hundred-Ten-Thousand Project,” students integrated their artistic practice with the imperatives of the era. Students produced a body of work demonstrating ideological integrity, artistic merit, and contemporary relevance.
Looking ahead, SCNU has already begun preparations for the 2026 Summer Culture, Technology, and Health "Three Trips to the Countryside" Social Practice Program, along with the "Hundred-Ten-Thousand Project" Youth Vanguard Teams. The university aims to guide more young students to engage directly with grassroots communities and high-quality development initiatives, contributing their energy and creativity to help deepen and solidify the project.
