On March 31, the inauguration ceremony of the SCNU-RSB Digital Business Institute was held at SCNU Foshan Campus. Attendees included Li Jinjun, Director of the Exchange and Cooperation Division of Department of Education of Guangdong Province; Laurent Legodec, Consul General of France in Guangzhou; Adilson Borges, Dean and Executive Director of Rennes School of Business; Stephanie Hiaumet, Senior Director (Development and Marketing) of Rennes School of Business; Chen Tao, Deputy Director of Nanhai District Education Bureau; Wang Hengyin, Chair of the SCNU University Council; Wang Chunchao, Vice President of SCNU; together with heads of relevant departments and offices attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Chunchao.

Addressing the gathering, Wang Hengyin extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the Chinese and French guests present, highlighting SCNU’s 93-year educational legacy and achievements in the “Double First-Class” initiative. He emphasized that France remains a key partner in the university’s European cooperation framework, and the establishment of the joint institute in collaboration with Rennes School of Business marks a significant step toward deepening Sino-French educational partnerships and supporting the digital economy development in the Greater Bay Area. Wang stated that the joint institute will prioritize interdisciplinary innovation within the digital economy sectors, building an internationalized, cross-disciplinary talent cultivation system. He voiced confidence that the partnership will serve as a new starting point for enhanced bilateral exchanges and cooperation, jointly contributing to the innovative advancement of global higher education.
