on December 6, the SCNU 2025 New Students Welcome Gala kicked off at the Shipai campus, featuring diverse artistic forms including symphonic music, choral performances, fashion shows, medleys of songs and dances, martial art, and narrative performances.
Aligned with the significant 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the gala, under the theme of "Passing the Torch, Pursuing Dreams", demonstrated the endeavors of SCNU pioneers with an immersive aesthetic enlightenment on the history of revolution.
Over 3,000 people participated in the event, including Wang Hengyin, secretary of the CPC SCNU Committee, Wang Yan, deputy secretary of the CPC SCNU Committee, heads of departments and schools, faculty representatives, new student representatives, and alumni representatives.
The ceremony also featured the award presentation for the 4th "Four Excellences" Graduate Mentor Teams, with Wang Hengyin presenting awards to representatives of the winning teams.
