A delegation led by Yang Chengwei, vice president of SCNU, visited Hong Kong and Macao to attend the opening ceremony of the 2025 cohort postgraduate courses in Hong Kong and Macao from September 18 to 19.

During the opening ceremony, Yang said that SCNU would work with the Hong Kong Institute of Financial Management and the Macao Amateur Continuing Study Centre to optimize faculty allocation and improve and refine the curriculum, with the goal of cultivating more outstanding postgraduate-level talent in Hong Kong and Macao, and thereby contributing to the long-term prosperity and stability of the two special administrative regions.
He called on the new students to keep the nation in their hearts, strategically integrate their academic goals and sense of responsibility in their future plans, and dedicate themselves to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the historic pursuit of China's rejuvenation.
Pei Chengxian, president of the Macao Amateur Continuing Study Centre, delivered a speech on behalf of the centre, while Wang Zhongying, delivered a speech for the Hong Kong Institute of Financial Management. They both noted that SCNU, as a significant cooperative partner, is committed to cultivating high-quality professional talent at the postgraduate level and has gained wide recognition in Hong Kong and Macao society.
The opening ceremony demonstrates the promising development prospects of the cooperative education program between SCNU and Hong Kong and Macao. In the future, SCNU will continue to deepen its collaboration with Hong Kong and Macao in high-level talent cultivation and explore an innovative development model for postgraduate education so as to provide solid talent support for the development of the Greater Bay Area.
