A SCNU delegation, led by Wang Chunchao, vice president of SCNU, visited Hong Kong and Macao to deepen educational exchange and cooperation from June 25 to 28.
During the visit to Hong Kong, the delegation visited the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). They met with professor Daniel T. L. Shek, Associate Vice President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, professor Yang Rui, dean of the Faculty of Education at HKU, professor Martin Wong, the provost of Hong Kong Baptist University, and heads of relevant schools.
Discussions focused on integrated Bachelor's and Master's program and joint dual-degree program in the fields of education, psychology, computer science, and media, as well as academic and research collaboration.
The delegation holds a meeting with representatives from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The delegation also visited the Hong Kong Financial Services Institute, where they held discussions with president Wang Zhongying on expanding collaboration with our university's teaching site in Hong Kong.
Besides, they paid a visit to the Department of Educational Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR, where they met with deputy director Ye Shui-qiu to exchange views and report on the university’s educational initiatives in Hong Kong and future plans.

In Macao, the delegation visited the Centro de Estudos Permanentes Pós-Laboral and held a discussion with president Pei Chengxian. As this year marks SCNU’s 40th anniversary in Macau, the two sides explored ways to further deepen their collaboration. Discussions focused on jointly planning a series of anniversary events, promoting interdisciplinary research cooperation, and cultivating a high-quality teaching workforce in Macao, with the shared goal of building a new model for education in the region.

This visit has consolidated and expanded the collaborative foundation between SCNU and its partner institutions in Hong Kong and Macao. It stands as a key initiative for SCNU to leverage its regional strengths, serve the national strategy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), and advance high-quality development in its internationalization endeavors.
