SCNU won eight first prizes, four second prizes, and 10 third prizes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Student Information Technology Innovation Competition 2025, ranking first in the number of awards among all participating universities in Guangdong province.
Besides, SCNU's individual invention and creation projects won the "Excellent Exchange Project Award" in the category of Scientific and Technological Innovation Education Achievement Display. The university also received the "Outstanding Organization Award".

Participating students used technical tools such as programming and artificial intelligence to design and create a series of innovative and practical works, notably, "Smart Medicine Box" and "Smart Reading". The competition featured five tracks, including "Artificial Intelligence Application," "Intelligent Robot," "Creative Maker," "Computational Thinking," and "Digital Art".
Held at the Zhuhai International Airshow Center, the competition was co-hosted by the Department of Education of Guangdong province, the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government, the Executive Committee of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government.
