The awarding ceremony of the 5th National Teaching Innovation Contest for college teachers (Guangdong Division) was held at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies on June 12. Thirteen SCNU teams were awarded, one of which won the top honor.

The grand prize was won by the SCNU School of Marxism, with Chen Lu as team leader and Wei Zesheng, Zhang Qinglan and Hu Min as group members. Their class focused on ideological morality and the rule of law. The grand prize-winning team will participate in the national finals on behalf of Guangdong province.
On top of the grand prize, SCNU also received two first prizes, five second prizes, two third prizes, and three excellence awards, as well as the Outstanding Organization Award.
The contest was hosted by the China Association of Higher Education and directed by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and featured 8 tracks. A total of 184 teachers (teams) entered the final competition. Among them, 38 first prizes, 64 second prizes and 82 third prizes were awarded.
SCNU has always placed great emphasis on enhancing teachers' teaching skills. During the contest preparation, it provided participants with experts' guidance, themed training and rehearsal opportunities, leveraging teaching contests to drive the development of teachers and courses.
