SCNU students won one silver and one bronze medal at the tennis competition of the 12th Guangdong University Games, which ended on May 15 at the University Town campus.
Under the guidance of vice dean of the School of Physical Education and Sports Science Li Zhu and coach Sun Yue, SCNU students Yao Yonglin won a silver medal in the Women's Singles, Group B (A), while students Li Jiayi/Yang Zihao won a silver medal in the Mixed Doubles, Group B (B). The men's team won a bronze medal in the group competition.

Organized by the Department of Education of Guangdong province and the Administration of Sports of Guangdong province, and co-organized by SCNU, this competition consists of four groups with a total of 28 individual events including Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men's Team, and Women's Team. During the competition, 756 athletes from 70 universities in Guangdong competed at the court.
