SCNU held a signing ceremony with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Committee (CCPIT) for strategic cooperation on April 28, at Shipai campus. Yang Zhongmin, president and deputy secretary of the CPC SCNU Committee signed the agreement with Chen Xiaofeng, president of CCPIT of Guangdong.

Yang Zhongmin extended a cordial welcome to CCPIT of Guangdong and other representatives, and then introduced the comprehensive strength and international exchange of SCNU. He pointed out that this cooperation is a combination of academic innovation and opening up to the outside world, and he looked forward to developing a closer cooperation with CCPIT of Guangdong in more areas such as enterprise empowerment and talent co-cultivation.

Chen Xiaofeng stated that in recent years, CCPIT of Guangdong has extensively expanded cooperation with higher education institutions. He expressed the hope that the agreement will serve as a springboard for an in-depth partnership with SCNU. The two sides are set to join forces in building a high - caliber applied think tank, enhancing international competitiveness of enterprises and enabling companies to conduct international operations among other aspects, further contributing to high-level economic development.

Zhu Yonghui, deputy director of the Guangdong provincial office for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, also delivered a report on promoting the construction of the Greater Bay Area.
