SCNU athlete Mai Siwei won two bronze medals in the women's 400m indoor final of the 2025 National Indoor Athletics Grand Prix Leg 3 and Leg 4, which were held in Jinan and Nanjing respectively.

Under the guidance of coaches Feng Yun and Huang Qiaoxian, the SCNU athletic team put in an outstanding performance. On top of Mai Siwei, student Lian Zhi set her own national indoor record of 24.78 seconds in the women's 200m final, while student Li Baitao set a personal best of 6.81 seconds in the men's indoor 60m final.

Organized by the Chinese Athletics Association, the event attracted over 770 athletes from across the country.
