The finals of the 2024 South China Normal University campus song contest themed "Youth Praise to the Motherland", was held on the Shipai campus in the evening of December 8.

In the contest, singers were divided into two categories: the professional singers (for students from the School of Music) and the non-professional singers. Since its launch in October, nearly 600 students had signed up for the preliminary selection. After the preliminary contest and semi-finals on the 4 campuses of South China Normal University, six professional singers and 12 non-professional singers remained for the final round of the contest.

The final contest consisted of two rounds: the breakthrough match and the championship match. All contestants presented various audio-visual feats with their musical talents and love for music. After deliberations by the jury, Liang Yating from the School of Music won the gold award in the category professional singers, and Zhao Wenqi from the School of Law won the gold award in the category non-professional singers.
