SCNU students won 35 gold, 16 silver and 10 bronze medals at the 2024 Guangdong College Student Swimming Championship, which was held at the University campus of SCNU on November 10.
Led by coaches Zhang Meng, Zhao Miao, Sheng Jiajie and Wen Zehua, the SCNU swimming team participated in four groups of the competition. Wang Xueer, a bronze medallist at the Paris Olympic Games, presented awards to the winning teams, communicated with the athletes kindly and shared her own training and competition experience as an SCNU alumna.

Sponsored by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and organized by SCNU, the competition attracted a record number of 1,057 athletes from 76 school teams across the Guangdong province.
