On July 3, the award ceremony for the 4th National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers (Guangdong province) was held at Southern Medical University. All 16 teams from SCNU were awarded with prizes, seven with the highest honors.

The awards include seven first prizes, two second prizes, five third prizes, and two excellence awards, with SCNU winning the Excellent Organization Award. The seven first-prize-winning teams will take part in the 4th National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers on behalf of Guangdong.

Launched in December 2023, the National contest, hosted by the China Association of Higher Education and directed by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, is themed "Promoting Teaching Innovation and Cultivating Top Talents." It features seven tracks, including Emerging Engineering Education, New Medicine, New Agriculture Science, New Liberal Arts, Basic Curriculum, Ideological and Political Education, and Integration between Industry and Education. A total of 151 teams were shortlisted for the final of the provincial competition; 25 first prizes were granted.
