Six students from South China Normal University were awarded 5 first prizes and 1 second prize in the final round of the 9th Tin Ka Ping Cup National Contest of Teaching Skills for Teachers-College Students. The number of first prize winners ranks first nationwide.

The Tin Ka Ping Cup is currently the most influential college students' teaching skills contest nationwide. The contest is divided into 11 fields based on majors and teaching directions. More than 1,600 participants from 226 colleges and universities attended the first round. After preliminary evaluation, 485 participants from 149 schools were shortlisted for the finals on December 30 and 31.
SCNU has always attached great importance to the contest. Since the first contest, each year, faculty carefully makes a selection, and experienced teachers provide general education training for the student teachers who will take part in the contest. Students from SCNU have achieved excellent results in each contest, with a total of 63 winners over nine sessions, ranking second among all participating universities nationwide.
