On September 5, the opening ceremony of the 2023-2024 academic year to welcome new students was simultaneously held at the four campuses of SCNU, n.l. the Shipai campus, and the University Town campus in Guangzhou, the Nanhai campus in Foshan, and the Binhai campus in Shanwei. This ceremony adopted a multi-campus and cross-city mode to reach and engage with over 14,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students participating both on campus and remotely. It also embodied an innovative effort of “cultivating talent through the ceremony”, featuring the traditional agenda and the speeches of different representatives.
