SCNU signed a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Jihua Laboratory at the 2022 Advanced Display Technology Innovation Competition Summary and Major Project Signing Conference (China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition) on February 25 in Foshan, in Guangdong province.

According to the agreement, SCNU and Jihua Laboratory will gather high-quality resources, focus on the R&D of advanced display technology, and deepen cooperation in various fields—strategic planning of technological development, construction of joint innovation centers, resolution of major technical problems, transformation of scientific results, personnel training, and academic exchange. The collaboration between both sides could contribute wisdom to the scientific and technological innovation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Also at the event, Zhou Guofu, dean of the South China Academy of Advanced Optoelectronics of SCNU and first-prize winner in the start-up group of the 2022 Advanced Display Technology Innovation Competition, gave an address at the industry exchange meeting. He introduced the innovation and commercialization of e-paper display technology, and said that he would concentrate on the industrial development needs of GBA, and broaden industry-university-research collaboration, so as to establish a highland for the transformation of innovation achievements.

During the meeting, chairman and director of Jihua Laboratory Cao Jianlin presented the plaque for the newly approved Reflective Display Innovation Platform of the National Center of Technology Innovation for Display of SCNU.

Jihua Laboratory (also referred to as Advanced Manufacturing Science and Technology Guangdong Laboratory) is one of the first four provincial laboratories initiated by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government. It is at the frontier of global science and technology and the forefront of China's national economy. Jihua Laboratory integrates foreign and domestic resources to build a high-end innovation platform in advanced manufacturing industry.
The 2022 Advanced Display Technology Innovation Competition is a new track added to the 11th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. This competition focuses on the R&D of advanced display technology as well as key common technology.
