Wang Binwei, secretary of the CPC Committee of SCNU, together with vice president Ma Weihua and several leaders from related functional departments visited the Xiaobaogong Law & AI firm, an Industry-University-Research Base of the Center for Legal Application of Artificial Intelligence of SCNU on January 12.
Wang Yanling, founder of "Xiaobaogong Law & AI" and professor of the School of Law of SCNU, introduced the firm’s development, product matrix, business segment and applications of the platform. According to professor Wang, "Xiaobaogong Law & AI" focuses on the deep integration of law and technology. It is the only legal tech R&D system dominated by lawyers in the field of China’s legal tech. Based on artificial intelligence technologies such as judicial big data analysis, legal knowledge graphs and natural language processing, the platform is committed to providing legal services to the public.

Wang Binwei, secretary of the CPC Committee of SCNU, said that "Xiaobaogong Law & AI" is an important achievement of professors from SCNU in exploring the construction of new liberal arts and interdisciplinary subjects. To better contribute to national and regional economic and social development, he hoped that "Xiaobaogong Law&AI" would expand its influence in application, increase user viscosity, and facilitate technology commercialization. Besides, achievements should be reached to provide greater support for the “double first-class” development of SCNU, discipline and professional degree development.

The name of the firm Xiaobaogong is derived from the name of Bao Zheng, a historical figure and government official who lived in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). Bao is also remembered mostly as the personification of justice due to his unparalled honesty, fairness and integrity. At present, "Xiaobaogong Law & AI" is famous in Criminal Law Forum, the top international legal journal, and is endowed by legal scholars as "Little Judge Bao".
In 2023, "Xiaobaogong Law & AI" will launch a new product named legal intelligent Q&A expert. With both universality and professionalism, the new function is committed to achieving legal equalization and accessibility.
