SCNU teams won 24 national awards at the 15th Chinese Collegiate Computing Competition with three first prizes, eight second prizes and 13 third prizes, achieving the most spectacular results in the history of SCNU participating in this contest.
SCNUers from the School of Software, the Center for Faculty Development, the School of Information Technology in Education, the School of Fine Arts and other schools won awards respectively in game design, non-game mobile application development, big data in practice, interactive media design, web application development, product design, AI practice competition and data visualization. The result showed the solid professional foundation, strong hands-on ability and excellent psychological quality of SCNU students.
SCNU has always attached great importance to students' innovation education and comprehensive practical ability training. Through various informal curricula, student projects and school-level trails, students' interest and potential in learning professional knowledge and skills are stimulated, as well as their innovation ability and team cooperation consciousness. SCNU has achieved the goal of promoting learning, teaching, innovation and integration through competitions, which cultivates a large number of high-quality talents with all-round development for the country and the society.
This year, a total of more than 30,000 teams from over 800 universities and colleges across the country took part in the competition, which consists of the school-level trail, the provincial competition and the national final contest, lasting for six months till August.
Organized by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education since 2008, the Chinese Collegiate Computing Competition is a national computer application contest for college students, based on a three-level selection system. It ranks high on the list of national discipline competitions in colleges, while it is also seen as an important competition project for the reform of college education and the cultivation of innovative talents.
