From June 19 to June 20, the 7-on-7 rugby championship for Chinese college students in 2019, hosted by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC), was held in Qian’an, Hubei. The SCNU rugby team ranked fifth in the Men’s Group B.

It was the second time that the school rugby team participated in the national competition, battling hard with the other 34 teams from universities around the country. In the game, the Men's Group B represented the highest level of rugby players. The 12 members in the school team performed excellently, letting nobody down. With full passion and the belief to make the most of their endeavor, they made gains ranking fifth with the good score of 3-2, reaping honor for SCNU.
