On March 29, a High-end Forum of Japanese Studies, hosted by SCNU School of foreign Studies and co-organized by the Institute of Policy and Cultural Studies of Chuo University, Japan, was held in the liberal arts building. Attending the meeting were ten Japanese Studies professors from Chuo University and Kobe Women's University as well as teachers and graduate students from domestic universities such as China's Jilin university, Sun Yat-sen University, Central China Normal University, Xiamen University and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, etc.
The forum was jointly initiated by Li Yannan and Prof. HIROOKA Moriho from the Institute of Policy and Cultural Studies of Chuo University, Japan. Focusing on the study of Japanese literature, the forum was rich in contents, ranging from the methodology of modern Japanese literature research, the image of Lu Xun in the works of Takeuchi Yoshimi and studies of Japanese writers, such as Kawabata Yasunari, Kenji Miyazawa, Morisaki Kazue to Japanese modern literature, including Japanese modern literature, family relationships, media and Chinese characters.The program presented a wonderful academic feast for the teachers and students.
This forum not only promotes the academic exchange and cooperation between domestic and foreign professors, but also plays a positive role in enhancing the academic influence and expanding the popularity Japanese as a major at SCNU
