On October 16, Chen Xiaofang, deputy secretary of the CPC SCNU Committee, received a delegation from Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) headed by its vice president Kwok Yu-Kwong.

Chen Xiaofang warmly welcomed the arrival of the HK Metropolitan University delegation. Chen introduced the development history and the current status of international educational exchanges of SCNU. He noted that the two universities have broad cooperation space in areas such as integrated educational development and collaborative scientific research innovation, and expressed hope that both sides will further advance joint talent cultivation and key scientific research tasks to jointly contribute to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Kwok Yu-Kwong outlined HKMU’s development history and its school-running orientation as an application-oriented university. He said HKMU valued the cooperation opportunities with SCNU and looked forward to collaborating with SCNU in areas such as My Scholarship, joint training of doctoral students, student exchange and resource sharing, special education, and artificial intelligence.

In addition, the delegation also gave an overview of the programs in Global Sports Business major at the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, as well as relevant courses in education and courses related to Chinese language and literature. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on potential collaborations.
