From July 7 to 8, SCNU received a delegation from Singapore Management University (SMU), led by SMU’s vice president Lim Sun Sun, and had discussions to further cooperation.
During the meeting, Chen Xiaofang, deputy secretary of SCNU Committee hoped SCNU and SMU would further deepen collaboration by integrating disciplinary strengths, co-establishing research platforms, and driving collaborative research to achieve mutual benefits and a shared success.

Lim Sun Sun introduced SMU’s development and future vision, including the ongoing construction of the Urban Institute, the College of Integrative Studies, and new research centers. She said that there is great potential for cooperation between SCNU and SMU in various aspects and hoped for closer cooperation in the future.

The two sides also exchanged views on items such as establishing a strategic partnership, applying for Sino-foreign joint education programs, and co-organizing summer programs.
The School of Economics & Management and the SMU delegation exchange views to deepen cooperation.
The delegation also visited the School of Economics & Management at the university town campus to engage in discussions on the integrated master's and bachelor's degree program, dual master’s degree program, and research collaboration.
In April, a delegation led by SCNU president Yang Zhongmin visited SMU, where the two sides reached a consensus on joint talent cultivation programs, faculty and student exchange programs, and academic collaboration. On its return visit in July, SMU sought to advance cooperation with SCNU.
