A delegation from Hanoi University, led by vice president Luong Ngoc Minh, visited SCNU on June 7. The visit focused on deepening Sino-Vietnamese cooperation in digital education and artificial intelligence.

Yang Chengwei, vice president of SCNU, warmly welcomed the delegation. He briefed the guests the university's history, disciplinary strengths, as well as its international cooperation. Yang highlighted SCNU's strong commitment to advancing academic cooperation with Vietnamese institutions, particularly in emerging fields such as digital education and AI applications, and said that SCNU looks forward to strengthening ties with Hanoi University, and collaborating to explore new paradigms for cross-border education cooperation.

Vice president Luong Ngoc Minh shared Hanoi University's developments in AI research and expressed interest in joint student programs and research initiatives with SCNU to advance higher education and technological innovation in both countries.

During the discussion session, both sides engaged in in-depth discussion of potential collaborative projects, including faculty training, joint educational programs, student exchange initiatives, and research cooperation. They also shared their respective strengths and development needs, reaching preliminary consensus on multiple areas of collaboration.
The delegation also visited the History Museum of SCNU for an extensive understanding of SCNU's development history, educational achievements and cultural heritage.
The delegation subsequently visited several key laboratories at the School of Information Technology in Education of SCNU, including the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Sciences. During the visit, delegates had hands-on experience with advanced facilities such as multimodal data acquisition systems and AI-powered teaching platforms.
