On June 24, Secretary of the CPC SCNU Committee Wang Hengyi and its vice president Wang Chunchao met with a delegation led by Curtin University’s vice-chancellor Harlene Hayne to exchange views on deepening cooperation.
Past cooperation between the two universities in areas such as teaching, research, and talent development were reviewed. Potential opportunities for collaborations across disciplines between the two universities, including scientific research and joint training were also on the table.

Other attendees included the deputy vice-chancellor Global and the director of Global Partnerships at Curtin University, Zhang Xiaotian and Nigel de Silva, as well as heads from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and related schools at South China Normal University, including the School of Environment, the International Business College, the School of Artificial Intelligence, the Aberdeen Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and the School of Economics and Management.
After the meeting, the delegation also visited the University History Museum to learn more about the history, culture and development of education at SCNU.
