The recently concluded first-ever Spring Festival listed as an "Intangible Cultural Heritage" allowed the world to once again experience the charm of Chinese traditional culture. Recently, faculty and students from South China Normal University visited Paris, France, where they held two Chinese New Year concerts, offering the local audience a splendid cultural feast that blended both Chinese and Western traditions.

Yann Dubosc, the Mayor of Bussy, France, expressed special gratitude to the artists from China, stating, "This is a cultural exchange that transcends borders, bringing traditional Chinese art to Bussy and enriching the spiritual life of our community." Dubosc also mentioned that the Chinese community has become an indispensable part of Bussy, "In our city, 25% of the residents are Chinese. This not only injects vitality into our economy but, more importantly, adds profound cultural depth to our city. We aim to become a multicultural city, and the Chinese concert is a perfect example of achieving this objective."

At the concert, Huang Xiying and her apprentice Chen Junyan performed Poulenc's Sonata FP.8 together. The 10-year-old Huang Ziyun captivated the audience with the unique charm of Chinese opera, delivering a beautiful rendition of the classic piece "Ode to The Pear Flowers". This Peking opera depicts the poetic beauty of pear blossoms. The traditional Chinese operatic singing style, combined with the stunning performance, brought a delightful and surprising experience to the local French audience.

"As a multicultural city, the Spring Festival activities have long become an important tradition in Bussy. This year's Chinese-French gala not only enriched the festive atmosphere but also strengthened the connections between different communities within the city," said Liu Baijun, the Director of the Department of Culture and International Relations of the Bussy City Government.
