A delegation from Queen's University Belfast, consisting of Dr. Huang Meilan from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Dr. Judith Wylie from the School of Psychology, and Dr. Arran Hodgkinson from the School of Mathematics and Physics, visited SCNU on December 16.
The delegation was received by Shen Liling, deputy director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, and Chen Jiawen, associate dean of the School of Chemistry. The meeting took place the Shipai campus.
Shen Liling first extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced SCNU’s collaborations with various UK institutions in areas such as talent cultivation. Chen Jiawen provided an overview of the School of Chemistry's discipline and faculty development, and international collaborations. Both sides discussed potential cooperation in areas such as joint talent cultivation, research collaboration, and faculty and student exchange.
Huang Meilan expressed the hope to establish substantial cooperation with the School of Chemistry at SCNU in talent cultivation and research collaboration, with the goal of jointly advancing the development of chemistry disciplines of both sides.
After the meeting, the delegation toured the Shipai campus, learning more about SCNU's history, campus culture, and teaching facilities. They highly praised the SCNU's achievements and unique features. Dr. Judith Wylie also visited the School of Psychology at SCNU, where she held discussions on the psychology summer school programs.
