On December 12, SCNU received a delegation from the People's Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) and held an exchange meeting to discuss deepening cooperation in education.
Tan Weihong, director of the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation of SCNU, warmly welcomed the delegation. She then suggested that SCNU has been dedicated to expanding international cooperation, of both high-level and high-starting-point, and hoped the school could promote understanding, exchange experience and cooperate with RUDN University to enhance educational development.
Vadim Grinshkun, academician of the Russian Academy of Education and professor of RUDN University, expressed his gratitude for SCNU's reception and briefed on the basic information of RUDN University. He stressed that the university attaches great importance to cooperation with Chinese universities and hoped to learn about SCNU's experience in the development of educational programs.
Both sides exchanged views and then shared experience in admission, student training, teaching practice and teacher development. They agreed this visit has served as an opportunity for exchange and cooperation between the two universities, laying a solid foundation for in-depth collaboration in education, scientific research and culture in the future. The two universities will continue to expand cooperation and contribute to the development of Sino-Russian education and cultural exchange. At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged gifts.
The delegation also visited the history museum of SCNU during the visit.
Established in 1960, the People's Friendship University of Russia is one of the renowned national comprehensive universities in Russia. The university is primarily focused on the study of international relations and world cultures, and is known as the "cradle of world politicians".
