The 2024 “Charming Guangdong, Living My Dreams” International Students Gala was held in South China Normal University, in Guangzhou on Nov 7. More than 600 international students from over 40 countries gathered together, using artistic performances as a platform to promote the exchange and integration of diverse cultures.
Representatives from the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Guangdong Public Diplomacy Association, Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Provincial Government, Guangdong Education Association for International Exchange, universities and major media outlets in Guangdong attended the event.
International students from nine prestigious universities in Guangdong, including South China Normal University, Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Jinan University, South China Agricultural University and Shenzhen University, presented a variety of exciting performances, such as martial arts, song and dance, and fashion shows.
In the end, three programs from South China Normal University, Jinan University, and Shenzhen University won the first prize.
Attending international students expressed their hope to continue learning through cross-cultural exchange, combining elements of their own cultures with Chinese culture, and deepening their appreciation of the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
