From May 26 to June 6, SCNU organized the visit of the Latvian educators delegation to China. Members of delegation included officials from the Latvian Educational Development Agency, Latvian University and other education departments. Wu Jian, vice president of SCNU, together with relevant leaders of the Confucius Institute Management Office and the International Institute of Culture, attended the opening and closing ceremony of this visit.

During the visit, the members of the delegation listened to lectures on themes such as international educational cooperation, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area economic development, and culture in Guangdong Province. Then they visited the Tencent Company and FAW-Volkswagen South China Base, and experienced Guangdong cuisine. The delegation also visited the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, and Jinan University, holding discussions with Latvian students and representatives of students pursuing a Master's degree in Chinese International Education. The visit was aimed at promoting in-depth understanding of the educational and economic development of the Great Bay Area of Hong Kong and Macao in the Latvian educators. Our school, with the strong support of all the parties, was well prepared and carefully organized the event, thus helping to make the visit successful.

At the closing ceremony, members of the delegation expressed their great satisfaction with this event and said that they looked forward to further strengthening cooperation and exchanges with the SCNU. Finally, they sang the Latvian national song to express their great gratitude.
