China, a nation thriving a with distinctively animated spirit and groundbreaking reformations, has achieved a tremendous transformation from standing up and growing prosperous to becoming strong at an inexorable speed, whose fabulous levitation has gained great compliments and recognition from most countries throughout the world. And at present, descended from the precursors' wholehearted dedication to the preceding development, we China, consisting of billions of descendants of the dragon, are forging ahead resolutely with its blueprints for the Second Centenary goal.

History defines who we are, as we are blazing trails and setting a solid foothold for subsequent tremendous flourishing.

Though deprived of freedom, tortured by countless whipping and suppressed by the merciless prohibitions, myriad soldiers still crusaded relentlessly at the frontlines in exchange for the unified objective -- to contend for our own sovereignty back. In course of battles, boldness, persistence and fervency were animatedly portrayed by those prestigious patriots who would rather sacrifice their own lives than kneel down to those ruthless invaders, leaving an indelible mark that proved the unyielding will of the Chinese people is the source for overcoming all hardships and obstacles on the way forward.

Current national conditions endow each descendant with missions and responsibilities, spurring us to take action to fulfill our collective dreams. Worth noting, practice is the sole criterion for testing truth. It is under the glorious leadership of the Party that we make it possible to bring our country back to the world's center stage.

One tactic for handling domestic matters is adhering to a people-oriented approach. As our president Xi Jinping repeatedly stresses, it is the people who run the country and should be put in the first place anytime, anywhere. Targeted at boosting people's sense of belonging and gaining, the enactments of each policy and each legislation are set on the basis of their intrinsic interests, which turns out to obtain broad commendations and support from citizens. A case in point, the accomplishment of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects is a vivid exemplification. Villagers of a minority area in Guangxi said excitedly to an interviewer from CCTV that welfare and financial support offered by the local government have helped mitigate poverty in that region and brought higher income per year for each family. From the grassroots up, the Party has made its way up the ladder to thrive splendidly.

Another crucial issue is that we stay on the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and uphold and develop socialism with Chinese features. Just take a brief look at the development of special economic zones (SEZs). Derived from the triumph of the original four SEZs, the central government has decided to keep on the superiority of the preferential policies, ranging from the improvements of the seven SEZs to the later five economic belts in China. Not only is the process mentioned above a delving into one of the theories based on Marxism—from part to whole, from minority to majority, but also it is an attempt to harness the advantages of our system to explore theoretical innovations based on practice.

Nevertheless, faced with worldwide changes of a scale unseen in a century, China has undertaken its great responsibility and dedicated its efforts to building the community of common destiny for all mankind. It is no denying that our unswervingly followed foreign policy that claims independence, the assertion that contends fairness and justice, as well as the opposition to hegemony and power polities, have injected vitality into the world's peaceful development. In the course of the pandemic crisis, instead of scratching the surface, China delved into the origins of the disease, circumscribed the communications of different regions and took expeditious measures to impede the epidemic from spreading around.

At the same time, China voiced substantial support for those relatively backward countries, shared the latest research about the pandemic and donated effective vaccines to those in need. As our president Xi said at the commemorative meeting marking the 50th anniversary of the restoration of China's lawful seat in the United Nations, we should jointly promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and work together to build an open, inclusive, clean and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity.

As citizens of such an ambitious country, we have the very reason to assert that our motherland will persevere in questing for feasible policies and innovative reformations which will stand up to the era's scrutiny. Most importantly, the obligations have fallen on the young generations, as a result of which, we should live up to the nations' expectations, exert our strengths and map out solid steps to achieve the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, depicting a new chapter of the Chinese story!
