The Shanxi style sliced noodles supplied at the canteen are available in both north and south style. At the supply window of , sliced beef, dotted with green coriander and covered with bright red oil mixed with sesame, is capable of making the mouth water. Besides, to cater to the eating habits of Muslims, there is also a Muslim canteen affiliated to the main canteen.

Zeng Fu, the chef in charge of the food-on-demand area on the first and second floor of the canteen named Taoyuan, said he has been working in the canteen for 31 years. The Taoyuan canteen introduces new dishes every month or so, updating them according to the season and public taste, and the seasonal vegetables in particular.
