Li Hong, a professor from the School of Psychology at SCNU, has been elected as a Fellow of the Chinese Psychological Society for the year 2025, according to an official announcement released by the Society .
Professor Li has served as a member of the 6th and 7th Chinese Discipline Evaluation, former President of the Chinese Psychological Society, and a Distinguished Professor of the Major Talent Program of the Ministry of Education. He was also among the first group of state-level candidates of the "National Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talent Project in the New Century", honored as a National Model Teacher recognized by Touching China for his contributions during earthquake relief, as well as an outstanding supervisor for the National Excellent PhD Dissertation. Additionally, he has been awarded the State Council Special Government Allowance.
Having published over 530 papers in authoritative domestic and international journals, professor Li has won two first-class awards from the Ministry of Education and eight other provincial- and ministerial-level awards. In recent research, his team published a paper titled "Positive Emotions and Inhibitory Control Enhance Prosocial Sharing Behavior in Children Under Unequal Resource Conditions: An fNIRS Study" in NeuroImage, a top-tier SCI-indexed journal classified as a Zone 1 (Top) journal in the neuroimaging category by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
A Fellow of the Chinese Psychological Society is the highest honorary title established by the Society, awarded to members who have made significant contributions to the development of psychology in China and the Society itself. Professor Li’s election as a Fellow reflects high recognition from the psychology community nationwide for his outstanding academic achievements and contributions in the field of psychology. This honor also holds great significance for the high-quality development of the university's psychology discipline and the solid advancement of its "Double First-Class Initiative" discipline development.
