SCNU students claimed 15 national-level awards at the 18th Chinese Collegiate Computing Competition, including 1 First Prize, 4 Second Prizes, and 10 Third Prizes. Their outstanding performance showcased their creativity and remarkable ability in professional application and academic research.
A team of students from the School of Artificial Intelligence, including Yin Wenrui, Li Yuntian, Zhu Haoyin, Lin Junhao, and He Zhaokao, clinched the first prize for their project "Shouldering the Weight of the World" under the guidance of their supervisors Zhang Ze and Li Qin.
Students and teachers from various colleges and schools at SCNU have been preparing for the competition for over six months. Their efforts are reflected in their outstanding performances across 10 categories, particularly in Digital Media Game and Interaction Design, Artificial Intelligence, Software Application and Development, and Big Data Applications.
This year, a total of 3,882 projects from 974 undergraduate institutions nationwide have been submitted for the national competition. In the finals, 3,623 winning entries were awarded, including 147 first prizes, 989 second prizes, and 2,487 third prizes.
In addition, the SCNU team also won 29 awards in the Guangdong regional competition, securing 7 First Prizes, 14 Second Prizes, and 8 Third Prizes.
According to the list of national competitions released by the China Association of Higher Education, the Chinese Collegiate Computing Competition ranks third among computer science contests nationwide. The event encourages university students to tackle real-world challenges through information technology.
