SCNU football team won the second place respectively in Men's Group B Ⅰ and Women's Group B in the final competition of Guangdong Youth Football League 2024 (university group). The competition was held at Guangdong University of Foreign Language Studies and lasted until December 28.

Four teams of SCNU participated in the competition. The other two teams won the fourth place in Men's Group A and the fifth place in Men's Group BⅡ. Coaches Zhong Yuanjin, Wen Jiande, Mo Zhihai and Liu Yike were honored as "Outstanding Coaches".

This year's competition was mainly hosted by Department of Education of Guangdong Province and Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province. No fewer than 4023 participants from 152 football teams were involved in it.
In the last six years, SCNU has won three gold, ten silver and three bronze medals in the finals of National Youth Football League, Guangdong Youth Football League and Guangdong University Games. During this period, the SCNU women's football team has broken the competition record of SCNU by winning third place in the 2023-2024 China University Football Association Division Two Women's League.
Guangdong Youth Football League is one of the most influential youth athletic competitions in Guangdong province and ranks among the highest standards in Chinese campus football competitions.
