A forum on education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) was held at SCNU on December 5. The forum focused on collaborative and high quality development of teacher education and basic education.

The forum's theme was to promote the spirit of educators, optimize the development of teacher training systems, and serve the quality development of basic education. More than 450 education experts, scholars, heads of education administration departments, principals, and teachers from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and other places, attended the forum.

At the forum's opening ceremony, Yang Chengwei highlighted that SCNU has further promoted the development of teacher education disciplines to serve the high-quality development of basic education. Leveraging its status as one of the Ministry of Education's Teachers' Ethics Development Bases, SCNU actively innovates in educational models.
A ceremony was then held to launch the Wu Yingmin Education Fund, which aims to inspire nationwide dedication to education, support those who are passionate about teachers and basic education, and advance China's educational quality.

The opening ceremony also witnessed the launch of the GBA Master Teachers Lecture. More than 20 ‘master’ teachers from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao shared their educational stories.

During the keynote report session, Wu Yingmin, former vice-president of the Chinese Society of Education and former vice-president of SCNU, delivered a speech. He believes that green development is one of the essentials of high-quality development of education. To achieve green development in basic education, it is vital to promote the spirit of educators, build a high-quality and professional teaching workforce, and make efforts to enhance teachers' green literacy.

Launch of the AI evaluation system 3.0.
At the end of the opening ceremony, Wang Hong released version 3.0 of the AI evaluation system independently developed by SCNU. Combined with the language model, the system can be applied to various educational scenarios such as teacher self-diagnosis, teaching research, and teacher recruitment through AI empowerment, solving many problems in the current digital teaching evaluation.
The forum also took the form of parallel forums, publication of results, round tables, etc., providing participants with a high-quality platform for academic exchange and cooperation.
