SCNU held a seminar on deepening employment-entrepreneurship education against the background of the integrated advancement of education, science-technology and talent training at the Shipai campus from November 22 to 24.

The seminar aimed to explore ways to deepen employment guidance and innovation-entrepreneurship education, which may boost the integrated advancement of education, science-technology and talent training, and enhance the quality of employment-entrepreneurship education and talent cultivation in universities. Some entrepreneurs and representatives of related industries, and over 200 scholars from more than 50 universities nationwide, attended the seminar, with 14 scholars delivering special reports.

Pan Wenqing, vice-president of SCNU, emphasized in his speech the importance of deepening employment-entrepreneurship education reform for cultivating innovative talents in today’s society. SCNU will take this seminar as an opportunity to promote employment-entrepreneurship education, as well as the cultivation of innovative talents, to a new level.
Scholars deliver reports on different topics.
Yang Fang, professor from Central South University, delivered a report titled Thoughts and Practices on Cultivating Innovative Talents in the New Era. In the report, she delved into the new missions of higher education and shared construction ideas for the talent cultivation system.
Yue Changjun, professor from Peking University, gave a report titled The Connotation and Realization Paths of High-Quality and Full Employment, in which he also dissected its characteristics.
Huang Zhaoxin, vice-president of Hangzhou Normal University delivered a report on How to Win National Achievement Awards in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education. He provided guidance for deepening innovation-entrepreneurship education for college students from three aspects: promoting the integration of education chain, talent chain, industry chain and innovation chain, strengthening the integration of professional education and innovation-entrepreneurship education, and focusing on the integration of new technologies.
Finally, Hou Yongxiong, deputy dean of the School of Entrepreneurship of SCNU, reported as the title Practices and Innovation in Deepening Employment and Entrepreneurship Education under the New Situation. He elaborated on SCNU’s exploration, practices and innovative achievements in this field from three dimensions: dealing with new situations and requirements in society, focusing on new productive forces, and resolving structural unemployment.
Deans and directors have a heated discussion on the conference theme at the round table forum.
The seminar also included a round table forum for deans and directors and two parallel sessions on November 23, where the experts and scholars had in-depth discussions and exchanged their ideas on various topics.
