Recently, the project of Innovative Practice of AI Assisting Intelligent Training of Teaching Basic Skills for Teacher Trainees, hosted by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence in Education of SCNU has been selected for the national second batch of Artificial Intelligence + Higher Education Typical Application Scenarios.
AI practical training scene for teacher trainees on basic teaching skills
In cooperation with the enterprises, the project developed the first AI practical training system in basic teaching skills for trainee teachers in China, making use of Internet of Things technology, multimodal data analysis, pattern recognition and other AI technology. To solve the difficulties of supply, efficiency and development in honing the basic skills of teacher training, the system was designed as the AI training mode of "guided learning, self-learning and intellectual learning".Beside the training an AI training evaluation indicator system was developed and a system of AI training analysis methods was proposed.
The training project, which received the inspection of the leaders of MOE and Guangdong province, was not only publicized at the Global Smart Education Conference 2024, but also listed in the first batch of Artificial Intelligence + Higher Education Typical Application Scenarios in Guangdong province. At present, the training system has been put into practice in 24 colleges and regional teacher development centers, and has been showcased at the Higher Education Expo China several times.
