The Greater Bay Area Cyber Security Conference and the 26th Guangzhou Academician Science and Technology Conference were held in Guangzhou from November 7 to 8. SCNU received award for the contribution on information network constructing on the conference.

The project - Construction of the Electronic Authentication Service System - Presenting Certificates on the Guangdong Government Service Platform, was awarded the title of Excellent Case in Information Network Construction; while Li Ruiwei from the Network Information Center of SCNU was honored with the title of Outstanding Talent in Cyber Security in the Greater Bay Area.

The Greater Bay Area Cyber Security Conference is one of the most influential conferences in terms of information and Internet in Guangdong, attracting in-depth participation from more than 3,000 participants including provincial leaders, national academicians, industry experts and scholars, cybersecurity practitioners and so on from all over China. Facing the current trend of artificial intelligence application, the 2024 Greater Bay Area Cyber Security Conference joined with the Guangzhou Academician Science and Technology Conference to host this conference and carry out in-depth exchange and discussion around cutting-edge topics and challenges in cybersecurity.

This event was under the guidance of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, Health Commission of Guangdong Province, Department of Education of Guangdong Province, and the Guangdong Provincial Government Service and Data Administration Bureau, sponsored by Security Association of Guangdong province. Council for the Promotion of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation co-sponsored the conference and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd hosted.
