The national finals of the 14th “Challenge Cup” Chinese Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully concluded on the Xingqing campus of Xi'an Jiaotong University from October 31 to November 2. SCNU performed well in this competition and won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.

The project "Huaxin Technology", which is led by Yang Ziling from the School of Chemistry, won the gold medal. The project is dedicated to the research and development of semiconductor packaging and loading board film with high insulation, low thermal expansion coefficient, high adhesion and low roughness, which is expected to solve the key technical problems of China's high-end chip packaging film materials. And the project from the school of optoelectronic science and engineering secured the silver award, focusing on the multi-core microstructure optical fiber amplifiers. In addition, the project "Green Energy – Eco-friendly Cathode Material" , a project dedicated to solving of lithium battery in soil and water pollution issues , received a bronze medal in the "Belt and Road" international invitational competition.

This year's competition which attracted over 3 million students from more than 2,700 universities, received more than 390,000 innovative entrepreneurial projects. After rigorous preliminary rounds at the school and the provincial levels, 839 projects from 412 domestic and 14 international universities advanced to the national finals. Ultimately, 280 gold, 559 silver, and 1,559 bronze medals were awarded (of which 100 projects with gold awards, 200 projects with silver awards, and 300 projects with bronze awards for the special competitions), highlighting the dynamic creativity and ambition of China's youth.
SCNU's achievements not only reflect its commitment to fostering innovation but also underscores its expansive vision for global engagement and collaboration. The spirit of entrepreneurship demonstrated by SCNU students exemplifies a bright future for innovation in China and beyond.
