Additionally, Professor Huang Aiping from South China University of Technology, Professor Lu Fangzhe from Central China Normal University, and postgraduate Chen Manting from Hunan University, delivered speeches in the name of national university teacher teams, university student teams and overseas Confucius Institute teams respectively. In their speeches, they expressed the confidence and vision to jointly carry forward the "Chinese Teaching Heroes Conference" spirit, build high-quality Chinese classrooms and promote the quality-driven development of international Chinese language education.
In the presentation session, 22 teams of teachers and students demonstrated their curricula. The SCNU teacher team designed an elementary Chinese reading course based on the concept of "Experiencing Chinese culture through Chinese learning and learning Chinese by cultural experience." By introducing engaging classroom activities and exchange, the course could deepen students' understanding of Chinese in practice. The SCNU student team, on the other hand, created typical working scenes of travel guides under the topic of "Traveling Chinese for Indonesia." This course enables students in a short time to learn the basic Chinese sentences needed for guiding Chinese tourists, helping them to complete the task of picking up, leading and seeing off the tour group.
