On October 16th, China University Swimming Championship (Southern Division) was concluded in Zunyi, Guizhou province. SCNU won 6 gold, 11 silver, and 7 bronze medals. With outstanding performance, SCNU was also awarded the Sports Ethics Award for the sports team, and achieved fifth place in Group C and Group D for the total team score.
Twenty-two athletes from the SCNU swimming team participated in the competition, led by the dean, Duan Rui and guided by coaches Zhang Meng, Zhao Miao and Wen Zehua of the School of Physical Education and Sports Science.
The South China Normal University swimming team won honor for the school, shining at the scene of the swimming championship. They showed tenacity and their fighting spirit. After the event, athletes immediately commenced preparations for the Finals of the 23rd China University Swimming Championships and the 2024 Guangdong College Student Swimming Championship in November.
The competition was sponsored by the China Student Sports Federation, with more than one thousand athletes and coaches from 96 universities participating.
