From September 19 to 20, Yang Chengwei, vice president of SCNU, led a delegation attending the opening ceremonies of postgraduate courses in Hong Kong and Macao, held at the Hong Kong Financial Services Institute (HKFSI) and Centro De Estudos Permanentes Pos-Laboral (CAEP) respectively.

Approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, SCNU cooperates with HKFSI and CAEP to offer a number of postgraduate programmes in Hong Kong and Macao. The joint postgraduate programs have boosted educational and cultural cooperation in the Greater Bay Area.

At the ceremonies, Yang Chengwei, vice president of SCNU, congratulated the new students and expressed his gratitude for the support from people from all sectors of society in Hong Kong and Macao. Yang said that SCNU will strengthen educational cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao in postgraduate education and support excellent graduate advisors and education management to help every postgraduate, facilitating the development of exceptional talents to contribute to not only the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao, but also the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. He also encouraged the students to hone their skills with patriotism to be the talents of the country.
Pei Chengxian, president of Centro De Estudos Permanentes Pos-Laboral, and Wang Zhongying, president of the Hong Kong Financial Services Institute, respectively delivered speeches on behalf of their institutes. They both stated that SCNU is an important close partner, and the joint educational cooperation has won high praise in the two regions.
Li Shengbing, dean of the School of Education, and Wang Ruiming, vice dean of the School of Psychology, encouraged students to keep their curiosity during their academic studies, communicate more with their advisors, endeavour to start their academic research as early as possible and graduate with excellent grades.

During the visits to Macao and Hong Kong, the SCNU delegation also had meetings with HKFSI and CAEP on strengthening the development of the postgraduate practice base in the Greater Bay Area, teaching schools and degree programs. He hopes to further strengthen cooperation with each other and work together to nurture talents. During the visit to Macao, Yang also signed practice-based cooperation agreements with Pui Ching Middle School, Lou Hau High School, and Escola Choi Nong Chi Tai on behalf of SCNU.
