China won the bronze medal in the Women 4×100 m Medley Relay Final of the Paris Olympic Games in 3:52.23 seconds on August 5.

Wang Xueer, a master student majoring in Physical Education Pedagogy and Training of the School of Physical Education and Sports Science of SCNU, who competed in the preliminary heats, is among the medalists. She has become the first athlete of South China Normal University to win a medal in swimming at the Olympic Games.

At the Olympic Games, Wang took part in the Women 100 m Backstroke and Women 4x100 m Medley Relay. Although she lost the Women 100m Backstroke Semifinal, she quickly adjusted her mindset and fought hard in the Women 4x100 m Medley Relay Heat.
The competition of the 4x100m Medley Relay consists of two rounds: heats and a final. The teams with the best 8 times in the heats advance to the final. Wang, together with her teammates, take the third place in the preliminary heats in 3:56.34 seconds, No.2 in the group, helping the Chinese team to advance to the finals.

Wang Xueer won the Women 100 Backstroke champion in the 2020 National Swimming Championships. In the 19th Asian Games 2023, she won the Women 50 Backstroke, and the Women 100 Backstroke runner-up. In 2024, she won the Women 100 Backstroke at the Chinese Spring National Championships. She participated in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games, and now at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
